And of course, there’s the famed Mississippi River. The miles of coastline along the Mighty Mississippi offer visitors a chance to take romantic strolls along its banks or take them back to times long gone and the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. The river itself also holds plenty in store, from rafting to booking a tour or dinner on a paddlewheel steamboat. And for nightlife, the capital city of Jackson can always provide plenty of dining and late night entertainment. This is one state you don’t want to miss.
